2/3-Wheeler Energy Storage

AC Bridge Rectifiers

Ac bridge rectifiers convert alternating current from mains to direct current for electric motors and other types of equipment. Littelfuse subsidiary IXYS makes several single-phase and three-phase ac bridge rectifiers that coordinate the operations of diodes, thyristors, and MOSFETs across integrated circuits. The solid state ac–dc switches boast small footprints, and different configurations can perform half- or full-bridging. Solid State Relays

OptoMOS^® solid state relays enable fast, reliable, and bounce-free current switching electrical systems using alternating current and carrying high loads. Littelfuse offers these semiconductor-based relays in compact designs suitable for mounting on printed circuit boards and requiring minimal heat sinking. Our solid state relays make ideal replacements for reed relays and electromechanical relays.

TVS Diode Arrays

TVS diode arrays protect electronics from damage due to transient voltage surges and electrostatic discharges (ESDs). Littelfuse offers a variety of these surge protective devices (SPDs) in SOIC, DIP, flipchip, and other designs. Our lightning SPDs direct massive voltage surges from lightning strikes on outdoor equipment to ground. Our ultra-low capacitance TVS diodes provide ESD protection to data ports and cables. Schottky (Si/SiC)

Silicon Schottky diode rectifiers produce very low forward voltage drops while serving as ac switches in power converts and switched-mode power supplies. The devices can also be used to control the flow of current to other protection diodes. Littelfuse makes almost 100 types of silicon Schottky diodes. AC Power Relays

Replace electromechanical relays while eliminating the need for optocouplers, TRIACs, and snubber diodes by choosing ac power relays for alternating current load switching. OptoMOS^® ac relays produced by Littelfuse use dual-power silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) thyristors to allow smooth switching with minimal electromagnetic interference. We make zero-cross and rapid turn-on ac power relays. Both types can mount on heat sinks via direct copper bond ceramic substrates. You will find our normally open ac relays in motor controls, HVAC units, lighting arrays, heaters, and gas pumps.

Fuses

SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors

SIDACtor protection thyristors prevent damage from transient voltage surges due to lightning strikes and ac power crosses. The surge protective devices also protect people and electronics from electrostatic discharges generated by human–machine interactions. These specialized silicon diodes for alternating current (SIDACs) join LED protectors as circuit protection products offered by Littelfuse. Gate Drivers

Optimize the performance of power semiconductors, rectifiers, inverters, and other solid state switches by using gate driver ICs produced by Littelfuse and our IXYS subsidiary. We make integrated circuits to control IGBTs, MOSFETs, and innovative SiC-MOSFETs. We also offer patented optically isolated gate drivers for use in applications requiring superior fast turnoff performance.

Buck-Boost-Choppers

A buck-boost chopper combines the circuitry needed to both increase (step up) and decrease voltage in a single compact package. Littelfuse subsidiary IXYS produces these types of IGBT modules with MOSFET gate-control structures and the high current and the low saturation voltage characteristics of BJTs. Inclusion of fast switching diodes and extreme-light punch through (XPT) configurations make buck-boost choppers good choices to control current for switched mode power supplies and switched reluctance motor drives.

High Voltage DC Contactor Relays

EVs and industrial electronic control systems need robust power management solutions. Littelfuse’s high-voltage dc contactor relays meet those needs while also providing high-current circuit protection. Our contactor relays come with continuous current ratings up to 500 A and maximum voltage ratings up to 1.8 kV dc. Some versions incorporate pulse with modulation (PWM) technology to reduce power demands for keeping contacts closed. Varistors

Varistors provide transient voltage surge suppression in consumer electronics, household appliances, telecom equipment, and computers. The overvoltage protection devices shield semiconductors and other components from damage due to lightning strikes, and electrostatic discharges. Littelfuse produces metal oxide varistors (MOVs) in surface mount, thermally protected, and radial leaded configurations. In addition to AUMOV^®, UltraMOV^®, and TMOV^® devices, we design specialty varistors to customers’ specifications.

MOSFETs (Si/SiC)

Silicon and silicon carbide metal-oxide–semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs) can perform a range of current conversion, current switching, and power factor correction (PFC) operations. This versality makes the power semiconductors first choices for thousands of applications. Littelfuse and its IXYS subsidiary ensure customers have the discrete MOSFET or MOSFET module they need for their rectifier, inverter, or PFC circuit. In addition to supplying several types of off-the-shelf MOSFETs in a wide variety of configurations, we partner with customers to design and produce customized solutions.

Reed Switches

Reed switches open and close circuits based on signals received from magnetic sensors. The electromechanical switches themselves often form integral components of liquid level sensors used in industrial controls, coolant systems, and air conditioners. When signaled, a normally open switch closes a circuit to initiate an automated process or trigger an alarm. Littelfuse makes a broad array of reed switches in bare glass and overmolded packages. Each of our liquid level sensing reed switches works with a floating actuator magnet and is engineered to withstand harsh operating conditions.

NTC - Discrete Sensors

Littelfuse offers a variety of discrete negative temperature coefficient (NTC) sensors and thermistors for temperature sensing, temperature measuring, and process control applications. Our NTC sensor and thermistor portfolio includes bare chip, epoxy-coated, glass-coated chip, and surface mount devices. All boast high accuracy, long-term reliability, stability, and predictable performance in challenging environments.

Switches & Connectors

Operator-controlled, pressure, temperature, and mechanical switches must meet the highest standards for usability and reliability. Littelfuse switches are used in vehicle, industrial, HVAC, and electronic device applications. We also offer a full range of sockets, plugs, coils, and other connectors.

Power Diodes

Diodes for power supply applications require low reverse recovery times and low forward voltage drops. Each discrete diode produced by Littelfuse boasts these characteristics, as well as low leakage. Our rectifier, ultrafast rectifier, fast recovery, and silicon Schottky diodes offer optimal switching solutions for dc–dc converters, induction heaters, and ultrasonic cleaners and welders. TVS Diodes

Transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes defend against damage from overvoltage events by responding within picoseconds to shunt current to ground. The classic example of TVS diode use is protecting outdoor telecom equipment from lightning strikes. Littelfuse produces surface mount and leaded diodes and TVS diode arrays for that, as well as TVS diodes for cars, personal electronics, data cables, and household appliances.
