Infotainment
Solutions Littelfuse offers for EV infotainment systems range from rectifiers to ESD suppressors. A block diagram illustrates how our products fit into circuitry for cameras, sensors, transceivers, and displays. Options include resettable PPTC devices for overcurrent and thermal protection, multilayer varistors for overvoltage protection, and Schottky diodes for power conversion.
Product Categories
TVS Diode Arrays
TVS diode arrays protect electronics from damage due to transient voltage surges and electrostatic discharges (ESDs). Littelfuse offers a variety of these surge protective devices (SPDs) in SOIC, DIP, flipchip, and other designs. Our lightning SPDs direct massive voltage surges from lightning strikes on outdoor equipment to ground. Our ultra-low capacitance TVS diodes provide ESD protection to data ports and cables. We also make SPDs specifically for automotive applications. Find your solution in our Circuit Protection Products Selection Guide.
Schottky (Si/SiC)
Silicon Schottky diode rectifiers produce very low forward voltage drops while serving as ac switches in power converts and switched-mode power supplies. The devices can also be used to control the flow of current to other protection diodes. Littelfuse makes almost 100 types of silicon Schottky diodes. Consult our Power Semiconductor Product Catalog to find the best solution for your application.
Polymer ESD Suppressors
Polymer ESD suppressors protect electronics and people against harmful electrostatic discharges and other transient voltage surges such as lightning strikes. Littelfuse makes bidirectional ESD protection products for cables, data ports, USBs, cell phones, LCD and plasma screens, and antenna systems. We also produce XTREME-GUARD® ESD Protectors for automotive overvoltage protection applications. Durable enough to withstand thousands of shocks each hour for years on end, ESD suppressors ensure safe, reliable performance by electronic devices of all types.
Fuses
Littelfuse produces more fuses, fuse types and fuse sizes than any other electrical component manufacturer. Our industrial fuses, power fuses, automotive fuses, axial fuses, cartridge fuses, surface mount fuses, specialty fuses, and medium voltage fuses provide overcurrent protection and regulate current flow in practically every device, machine, and electrical system.
Varistors
Varistors provide transient voltage surge suppression in consumer electronics, household appliances, telecom equipment, and computers. The overvoltage protection devices shield semiconductors and other components from damage due to lightning strikes, and electrostatic discharges. Littelfuse produces metal oxide varistors (MOVs) in surface mount, thermally protected, and radial leaded configurations. In addition to AUMOV®, UltraMOV®, and TMOV® devices, we design specialty varistors to customers’ specifications.
PolySwitch® Resettable PPTC Devices
PolySwitch® and POLYFUSE® resettable devices from Littelfuse provide reliable overcurrent protection in automotive, telecommunication, and power supply applications. The solid state polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) devices increase in resistance as their elements heat. This ensures current flows safely and keeps the fuse from blowing. We offer surface mount, low-resistance, bladed, radial leaded, line voltage rated, and battery strap resettable fuses. Our TD and Chip PolySwitch devices are ideal for use with small motors for vehicle windows and seat controls.
TVS Diodes
Transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes defend against damage from overvoltage events by responding within picoseconds to shunt current to ground. The classic example of TVS diode use is protecting outdoor telecom equipment from lightning strikes. Littelfuse produces surface mount and leaded diodes and TVS diode arrays for that, as well as TVS diodes for cars, personal electronics, data cables, and household appliances. Consult our Circuit Protection Selection Guide to guide your search for a solution.
