Pulsed WaveGuideTM (PWG) sensors created by Littelfuse offer versatile, accurate, and cost-effective solutions for measuring distance and height, position sensing, and liquid level sensing. The sensors work by measuring the time electrical pulses take to travel to and from permanent magnets along screened waveguides. Users can select the length of the waveguide and how often pulses transmit. Automakers can use PWG sensors to detect valve and piston position, while manufacturers can use the sensors as linear actuators. Dust-tight packages and contactless sensing ensure long life and error-free measurement.
