NPT

Non-punch through (NPT) IGBTs serve as solid state switches for circuits that handle high voltages. Typical applications for these insulated-gate bipolar transistors include ac and dc motor drives, power supplies, and pulse generators for lasers and x-ray machines. Littelfuse makes standard (600–1200 V), high-voltage (1600–1700), and very high-voltage (2500–4000 V) NPT IGBTs. Each has a short-circuit withstand capability of 10 µs, and our very high-voltage NPT devices can replace multiple switches, rectifiers, and discharge relays with lower voltage ratings.
  • Typical saturation voltages of 2.4–4.0 V
