SemiFast diodes offer ultra-low reverse recovery times, low power usage, and negligible forward current losses in applications requiring solid state switches. The antiparallel diodes produce minimal noise and little heating while reliably performing high-frequency switching operations. Used as discrete devices or as components of integrated circuits, SemiFast diodes can serve as antisaturation diodes, snubber diodes, freewheeling diodes in power converters and motor controls, and rectifiers in switched-mode power supplies.
  • Rated at 1400 Vrms, 1600 Vrms, and 1800 Vrms
  • Typical reverse recovery time (trr) of 40 ns
  • Average forward current (Ifavm) of 63 A
  • Planar passivated junctions
  • Epoxy moldings with a UL 94 flammability ratings of V-0
  • JEDEC TO-247AD package sizes
  • Soft recovery
  • Extremely low switching losses
  • Low voltage peaks reduce need for surge protection devices in circuit
  • Operate at lower temperatures, which saves board space and simplifies circuit design by reducing need for cooling
