
AC Switches/TRIACS

As bidirectional ac switches with three electrodes, triacs precisely control the flow of electric current in many applications. They serve as rectifiers, dc power converters, and motor controllers, and you will often find them in circuitry for ac motors, light dimmers, thermostats, and tankless water heaters. Littelfuse produces triacs and triac-based thyristor modules in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. We engineer our triacs to deliver space and weight savings, as well as excellent temperature and power cycling.
