Miniature reed relay in a single-in-line (SIL) package with a choice of normally open, normally open high-voltage or changeover contacts capable of switching up to 300Vdc at 10W. Available with 5V, 12V and 24V coils and has external magnetic shield options. Ideally suited for security, telecom, instrumentation, process control, industrial and automatic test equipment (ATE) applications.

Features:

  • Miniature single-in-line (SIL) package
  • Available with standard 5V, 12V or 24V coil options
  • High-voltage switching version available
  • Normally open and change-over contact configurations available
  • External magnetic shield option available

Benefits:

  • Single-in-line configuration allows high packing densities, minimizing space and cost
  • Lower coil power consumption than electromechanical devices
  • Hermetically sealed switching contacts are immune to their environment
  • Transfer molded package gives maximum component protection

Applications:

  • Security systems
  • Telecom equipment
  • Process control systems
  • Automatic test equipment
  • Instrumentation

pdficon Inductive Load Arc Suppression Application Note

When a reed switch or reed sensor is used to control an inductive device (relay coil solenoid transformer small motor etc.)

pdficon Vibration Testing and Precautions Application Note

Littelfuse tests sinusoidal vibration according to Mil. Std. 202G Method 204D Test Condition G (10 ? 2000 Hz frequency sweep at 30 G or 0.06 inch double amplitude whichever is less).

pdficon Capacitive Loads Application Note

When there is significant capacitance in a reed sensor reed relay or reed switch circuit the peak current and energy switched by the reed contacts should be considered.

pdficon Reed Switch Extended Shock Capabilities Application Note

The maximum shock specifications in the Littelfuse catalog are very conservative for most switches smaller than the DRxxxx type. T
