Actuators

Actuators produce the magnetic fields that Hall effect sensors detect and which reed switches use to open or close circuits. Littelfuse makes a wide variety of AlNiCo, ceramic (ferrite), and NdFeBo magnets in cylindrical, flange, rectangular, and threaded barrel configurations. We also offer these as bare magnets or in packages with magnetic sensors and switches. If you require a custom-designed magnetic actuator, contact us via the Custom Product Request form on this page.

- Available with coercivity ratings from 620 Oe to 10.8 kOe
- Able to operate at very high maximum temperatures (e.g., 205 ℃, 450 ℃)
- Actuators with the same performance ratings available in more than one shape and size
- Stainless steel plating available on select threaded barrel actuators
- Adaptable beyond pairing with recommended Littelfuse magnetic sensors and reed switches
