Thin-film chip fuses are surface-mount overcurrent protection devices. The ultra-compact SMD fuses solder onto printed circuit boards to protect circuits from inrushes of current. Available with either fast-acting or time-delayed/Slo-Blo® performance, thin-film chip fuses can be used anywhere circuit protection is required but space is limited. Common applications include battery packs, digital cameras, game consoles, LCDs, mobile phones, notebook computers, and servers.
- Rated from 5 V dc to 150 V dc
- Available with a very wide range of ampere ratings, from 125 mA to 20 A
- Very low to low internal resistance ratings (e.g., 1.94 mΩ, 137 mΩ, 2.5 Ω)
- Certified lead-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant
- AECQ-qualified devices for automotive applications available
- Low profile designs permit use in areas with minimal head space
- Compatible with reflow and wave soldering processes
- Compatible with pick-and-place board assembly processes
