Metal hybrid protection (MHP) devices combine resettable fuses with bimetallic thermal cutoff devices to provide overcurrent and overtemperature protection to rechargeable batteries. MHP devices, which are also called battery mini breakers, protect Li-ion and lithium polymer batteries for notebook PCs and power tools. They are also small enough to use with prismatic cells for mobile phones. The MHP devices made by Littelfuse rely on our innovative PolySwitch^® polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) technology to ensure long-lived resettable fuse performance.
