Fluid & Level & Position Sensors
Liquid level sensors help protect and control pumps and coolant systems such as those in cars and trucks. As components of pump controllers, liquid level sensors send data to motors on when to start or stop. In automotive applications, the sensors signal drivers to refill radiators. Pump level sensors made Littelfuse typically use probes and electrodes to detect the presence or absence of liquid. Electrical pulses emitted by the probes return to the electrodes slower when liquid is present. Coolant sensors employ a float magnet actuator. When the magnet falls out of line with the sensor, an alert is sent.
