Battery Disconnect & Power Distribution - Truck & Bus
Li-ion battery disconnect switches ensure EVs and electric buses remain charged while parked. Power distribution units that incorporate overcurrent protection, solid-state relays, and overvoltage protection devices such as TVS diodes also ensure reliable battery system management. Littelfuse delivers these solutions and others with off-the-shelf, customized, AEC-Q–qualified components.
Product Categories
Fuses
Littelfuse produces more fuses, fuse types and fuse sizes than any other electrical component manufacturer. Our industrial fuses, power fuses, automotive fuses, axial fuses, cartridge fuses, surface mount fuses, specialty fuses, and medium voltage fuses provide overcurrent protection and regulate current flow in practically every device, machine, and electrical system.
High Voltage DC Contactor Relays
EVs and industrial electronic control systems need robust power management solutions. Littelfuse’s high-voltage dc contactor relays meet those needs while also providing high-current circuit protection. Our contactor relays come with continuous current ratings up to 500 A and maximum voltage ratings up to 1.8 kV dc. Some versions incorporate pulse with modulation (PWM) technology to reduce power demands for keeping contacts closed. Common applications include EV charging stations, uninterruptible power supplies, and dc motor controllers. Browse our off-the-shelf dc contactors or partner with us on your next design.
TVS Diodes
Transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes defend against damage from overvoltage events by responding within picoseconds to shunt current to ground. The classic example of TVS diode use is protecting outdoor telecom equipment from lightning strikes. Littelfuse produces surface mount and leaded diodes and TVS diode arrays for that, as well as TVS diodes for cars, personal electronics, data cables, and household appliances. Consult our Circuit Protection Selection Guide to guide your search for a solution.
