BLDC & Universal Motors
Corded power tools can use brushless dc (BLDC) motors or universal motors that run on dc or alternating current. A block diagram shows Littelfuse components that perform essential functions in both types of motors. Our solutions include rectifier diodes for dc switching, triacs for ac switching, NTC thermistors for temperature sensing, and metal oxide varistors for overvoltage protection.
